Licensed and Insured
Locksmith Magic technicians are insured and licensed in all states that require it. As of August 2012, only 15 states require licensing. These include Alabama, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. If you live in a state that requires licensing, you can trust that our technicians are registered and legally able to serve you.
When a locksmith is "bonded" and "insured" it means they care about you, the client. While every technician goes to a job with the best intention, Murphy’s Law can happen once in a while. That’s why it’s important both you and the locksmith are insured.
A bond is a type of insurance that covers our customers. Bonding companies guarantee that if a technician’s work is done incorrectly, or if they accidentally damage your property while on the job, the necessary repairs will be covered at no expense to you. This type of insurance typically covers $5,000 to $25,000. There are deductibles like other insurance programs; these are handled by the security professional. Bonded locksmiths have had a background check proving they are not a convicted felon. The technician also agrees to not use their knowledge and abilities for illegal activity, nor will he retain extra keys or lock combinations without authorization.
A fully-insured locksmith is illustrating commitment to the safety and protection of customers and themselves. General liability insurance can be expensive, but it covers a large list of incidentals including physical injury. Our technicians insist upon it for your peace of mind, but these insurance policies vary widely. Each locksmith has a different level of insurance depending on the nature of the work he handles on a day-to-day basis. For this reason, among others, it’s important to have someone with the appropriate experience handle your security.
Our company fully guarantees the quality of workmanship for all new security installations and upgrades. If you have trouble with any new locks, keys, or security equipment please contact us for free technical support. Replacments will happily be provided as needed. Our standard guarantee is for 30 days, up to 90 days depending on the type of service. Beyond that you can rely upon manufacturer’s guarantees which typically last from one year to life.
We’re in business to provide you security and peace of mind. Our 24-hour Security Support Team™ ensures your needs are given first priority. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the level of service provided, please contact us to resolve your concerns.
